This 8"(H) creation was designed for the Summit Egyptian Colection and is made of highly detailed, hand painted cold cast resin. DESIGNER AND DATE STAMPED. This statue of the royal falcon wears the double crown of upper and lower egypt, signifying the royal right of kings...Originally, these statues were containers for the bird they represented. The mummified remains of a falcon could have been contained in this. Horus is a catch-all for multiple deities. The name is attached to gods at different stages of Egyptian development. The oldest, Horus the elder, is venerated in upper Egypt along with Hathor. He was among the creator gods.- The falcon who flew up at the beginning of time.
