Guidelines & Policies
ORDERS
Charge card orders will be fully processed for shipping within four business days. Electronic check orders will be processed within four days of Paypal notification of acceptance.
If we don't have what you are looking for, Contact Us and we will be happy to try to get it for you or to tell you where you may find it. Special orders are subject to availability and some items may require longer shipping times (see Special Items below).
SHIPPING
Orders will be shipped by UPS grouned, in most cases.
Orders are processed within one week. Since we most usually ship by UPS, your order should be received within 2-3 weeks after the order.
Shipping and handling charges are based on a small per item amount (handling)and the weight of the item being shipped. These charges are shown in your shopping cart before and after "finalizing" your order. Items so small as to be below the minimum cost of usps priority mail, may be sent by first class mail, usually taking only a couple of days longer. If you need earlier shipping, please contact us so that express shipping can be arranged and additional costs billed to you. Longer than usual shipping times are to be found on items which are special ordered. Such products come from foreign countries and shipping time may be extended considerably depending on the shipping mode. Preparation time must also be considered.
PAYMENT
For your convenience, The American Express Card, MasterCard, Discover and VISA are all accepted options for payment, however, they are currently processed through Paypal. We have closed our bankcard ecommerce accounts due to the excessive costs which endangered our ability to maintain our low prices. Checks may also be processed through Paypal.
Sorry, no COD shipments are available at this time.
RETURNS
Prior to returning any merchandise, please Contact Us for a Return Merchandise Authorization ( RMA) number. Have your order number displayed (printed on your receipt) or call (815) 963 1298. Note that shipments without an RMA number, are not processed.
Returns are accepted for refund on any item within ten (10) days of receipt. However, for any other item returned for other than transport damages.. the customer will be charged a twenty percent restocking fee.
Returns will be available if made between ten and thirty days as store credits and for any new customer purchase.
Please note that the restocking fee applies.
No return of merchandise will be accepted after thirty days
DAMAGED RETURNS
Damaged merchandise, if damaged in shipping, should be handled according to the policies of the shipper. All shipments are insured. But each carrier has different policies for processing claims. If your package arrived via the U.S. Post Office and the contents were damaged, you should take the package to your post office and turn the package over to them. You will be asked to fill out a claim form. Then contact us by email and apprise of the situation. Since damage refunds are usually made to the recipient, you will have to replace the order. In those rare instances in which payment is made to us, replacement will be made upon receipt of the refund. In the event that the item was sent by UPS, you must ask UPS to pick the item up, then contact us to coordinate replacement and/or proper credit. In common carrier deliveries contact this office since each carrier handles their claims differently. YOU SHOULD NOT RETURN THE ITEM TO US UNTIL WE COMMUNICATE TO DO SO, EITHER BY TELEPHONE,EMAIL, OR LETTER. If returning an item for any other reason, the customer will be assessed a 20%restocking fee. The returned product must be in salable condition and in its original packaging.
RETURN SHIPPING
All return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer, and must be packed in the original container shipped.
SPECIAL ITEMS
The following items are not refundable and are to be considered as non-refundable and non-returnable, except in case of damage in shipping. Such items are clearly marked, as:
Auction items
One of a kind items
Special ordered items
Clearance items.
REFUNDS & STORE CREDITS
We here at The Twisted feather believe that you will be satisfied with your purchases. If for some reason you are not completely satisfied, you may return it for an exchange of equal value. Or you can be given an in-store credit to be used at your convenience, for other merchandise.
