The Mitchell-Hedges skull was named after famed explorer and adventurer F. A. Mitchell-Hedges. The skull was found in Lubaantum, an ancient Mayan city in Belize, in 1924. The skull was human sized and was made of clear quartz crystal with a movable jaw, almost an exact copy of our own modern bone skull.
