Thutmose III was the pharoah of Egypt from 1504 b.c. to 1450 b.c. ; he was the son of Thutmose II and son in law of Queen Hatshepsut. Queen Hatshepsut was overshadowing Thurmose III until her death on 1483 b.c. when her monuments were taken down by Thutmose III. During that persiod of time Thutmose III had invaded Syria with his armies destroying them on the Plain of Jezreel in1479 b.c.
During Thutmose III rule he lead seventeen successful military campaigns and zero unsuccessful, six of them in Syria and Palestine and eleven in Mitanni, extending Egypt�s borders, which was one of his greatest accomplishments, earning him the nickname � The Napoleon of Ancient Egypt�.
